History

About the Temple:

The Rameswaram Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located on Rameswaram Island in Tamil Nadu. It is one of the Char Dhams, or four sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus. The temple is famous for its 22 holy wells, the longest corridor in India, and its beautiful architecture. Pilgrims believe that visiting the temple and taking a holy dip in the temple tanks can purify the soul.
